As part of our Term Topic on the Solar System Room 6 created some awesome Mars Space Stations for homework. They had to create a Space Station that would allow astronauts to survive on the surface of Mars. They could build a model, create a slideshow or make a poster to present their Mars Space Stations. Here are some of the things that they need to consider when creating a station on Mars: Facts about Mars • On Mars, the day temperature can get to +17°C, but at night can go down to -143°C. • Mars has high winds and dust storms. • The surface of Mars is like a big desert. • The air on Mars is made up of gases, mainly carbon dioxide (CO2), that people cannot live in. • The gravity on Mars is much less (only one-third) that of Earth.
Room 6 I was blown away by your cool space stations. I could see that you had thought out the designs and included things that you had learnt about to enable you to live in space.
